Find more than 100 of Depero’s works in the Villa of Masterpieces and discover the story of "an artist who knew how to dispense wonder"
Dynamic, multifaceted, brilliant. From 18 March to 2 July 2017, the Fondazione Magnani Rocca will be home to a large exhibition dedicated to Fortunato Depero (1892–1960) in Villa Mamiano of Traversetolo, near Parma. More than 100 works including paintings, the famous intarsia, collages, drawings, clothes, furniture and advertising projects will be on display to celebrate the genius creator of an innovative aesthetic that connects the diverse disciplines of painting, sculpture, architectural design and theatre. The exhibition is the result of an institutional collaboration between the Mart (the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto), and the Fondazione Magnani Rocca. The exhibition is curated by Nicoletta Boschiero, the author of historical studies of Depero, and Stefano Roffi, Scientific Director of the Foundation.
